Emailing an Estimate From a Yahoo Account

Attention @yahoo email users:

Unfortunately, Yahoo does not allow mail to be sent outside of its own infrastructure. This means that a yahoo email cannot be used outside of yahoo.com

However, Clear Estimates has worked around this to continue to allow you to use the “Send to Customer” feature. When an email is sent to a customer using the “Send to Customer” feature, it will appear to the customer from the email support@clearestimates.com. When the customer replies to that email, it will be sent to your @yahoo.com email.

Note: it is possible for the customer to reply to support@clearestimates.com. If this happens, we will forward the reply to you. To avoid the possibility of this happening altogether, choose the “Print Preview” > “PDF” option and then send an email with the estimate attached outside of Clear Estimates.

Nothing else has changed for @yahoo.com email accounts. You are still able to use the “Send to Customer” feature.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you have a different email (not @yahoo) and would like us to change your account email please let us know.

Thank you.

Is there an email service that would allow me to send reports unlike Yahoo which will not let mail be sent out of its infrastructure?

Hi Kevin. Thanks for reaching out. While you can still send estimates using your Yahoo email, we recommend getting set up with a Gmail account. They are free and very easy to set up. If you choose to do so, we would be happy to update your login information to reflect the change. Just let us know! – The Clear Estimates Team

I have a gmail account, none of my customers are getting there estimates That have yahoo accounts, switching back and forth sounds like a big hassle.

Hi Randy. Thanks for the question. Double check that your customers are reviewing their Spam and Junk folders for your estimates. It’s possible they are being sent to one of those two folders. If you continue to have trouble, download your estimate to either MS Word or PDF and attach to an email created directly from your mailbox. This way, you can send and track the email without using Clear Estimates. – The Clear Estimates Team
